Tatiyana Victorovna Frolova This talented Fedoskino artist was born in Moscow in 1961 and currently resides in the village of Fedoskino in the Moscow region. She graduated from the Fedoskino Art School in 1980 after having studied under such teachers as Victor Nicholaevich Frolov (her father), and Kuligalov Valentin Semionovich. Her works are displayed in the Fedoskino Art Museum, one of which is entitled, "Sadko". More of her pieces were displayed during an exhibit that honored 200 years of Fedoskino art. She has received many awards for her work. . Frolova was awarded to silver and bronze medals by the committee of the Exhibition of National Economy's Achievements in 1985 and 1989, in 1985 she received a badge "Young Guardsman of the XI Fife-year Plan", in 1986 - "Master-skill" by the Central Committee of Lenin Komsomol, and in 1997 - a medal "In Memory of 850 years of Moscow" from the president of the Russian Federation. Frolova's pieces reflect her preference in painting fairy-tales, bylinas, still-lifes, landscapes, portraits, architecture, fauna and scenes of historical monuments. Despite her range in themes, Frolova is consistent in her methodology to painting. Her manner of painting is strictly traditional. She prefers a classical style of painting and dislikes distortions, especially in proportions. Works by many prominent painters such as D.G. Levitskiy, V.L. Borovikovskiy, K.P. Bryulov, A.A. Ivanov, V.M. Vasnetsov, I.E. Repin, M.N. Nesterov, P. Rubens, M. Vrubel had great influence on Tatiyana's artwork. In regards to colors, her pieces consistently reflect her choice of a warm color palette. Frolova as most of painters has her personal techniques in art. To ensure her success in completing high quality pieces that both she and her collectors have come to expect, Frolova follows a couple of key guide lines. Prior to beginning a piece, she likes to spend a lot of time constructing the composition. Whenever she is close to finishing a box, she takes a break from it and looks at with a fresh perspective the next day. Finally, she never leaves unfinished details. She really strives for perfection in her work. She thinks that a box is finished when all her artistic ideas are completely fulfilled. The painter has created some author works, including miniatures called "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "Vasilisa the Beautiful", "At the Samovar", and the copy of "Madonna Benua" by L. da Vinchi". In her life outside of painting, Frolova takes care of her aging parents. She likes to listen to music and to go in for sport. She also enjoys going to the theaters, museums and to art exhibits. When asked, what wish she would like to express to her collectors, she replied,"Love our Fedoskino Art!". And we do, Tatyana! We really do!
