Vladimir Vasilievich Buldakov was born in the village of Chusovoy, Perm Region, in 1951. In 1970 Vladimir entered the Palekh Art School, and, having graduated, was employed by the Palekh Art Workshops.
The themes of Buldakov's pieces are folklore, literature, and genre scenes. Since 1975 the artist's miniatures have been displayed at exhibitions, among well-known pieces by Vladimir Vasilievich are "Spring", "The First Printer Ivan Fyodorov", "Russian Patterers", "Ratmir at the Walls of the Magic Palace".
Buldakov also did monumental painting (mural "Silver Hoof" in the Pioneers' Palace in Belov, Kemerovskiy region (1981); "Snowmaiden" in Gelendgik (1984)). Vladimir Vasilievich has been a member of the Artists' Union since 1982. The painter's miniature works can be seen in such museums as the State Museum of Palekh Art, Ivanovo Regional Art Museum, Russian Folk Arts and Crafts Museum, and the Russian Art Fund.
