Shatokhina Yevgenia Vladimirovna

Shatokhina Yevgenia Vladimirovna was born in 1972 in the town of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region. At present the artist currently lives in the village of Palekh, Ivanovo Region.

In 1994 Yevgenia Vladimirovna finished the Palekh Art School. Her teachers were N.M. Smirnov and I.V. Beketov.

Y.V. Shatokhina's diploma work was plate entitled "Winter".

The master was awarded to the diploma of the Second Class by the Committee of Youth Affairs of Ivanovo Region.

Now Yevgenia Vladimirovna works at the Union of Palekh artists and at home.

The painter uses tempera art technique and creates articles in the style of Palekh lacquered miniature. Her favorite subjects to depict are landscapes, fairy-tales by G.H. Anderson, themes of motherhood and lyric scenes.

She considers detailed painting to be the most important element in her works. Upon starting a new piece the master intends to vary themes of her artworks and to improve technique of painting. Depending on a chosen theme she uses different combinations of colors.

Yevgenia Vladimirovna often applies in work her personal techniques. She thinks that people will remember in her pieces thinness and clearness of drawing and high quality of execution. In her opinion, her pieces stand out for typical cold color treatment and predominance of landscape themes.

The artist spends on painting a composition from 3 days to 4 weeks. Everything depends on a box's size and a theme's complexity.

Creative work of such prominent artists as I.V. Livanov, O.V. An and I. Zubkov influenced Y.V. Shatokhina's individual style of painting.

In free time Yevgenia Vladimirovna is occupied with her housework, reads, receives guests and visits her friends.

The artist hopes people won't regret they've acquired her pieces and she wishes her creative work will bring them joy and happiness.
