Description:

Igor Isaev from the village of Fedoskino created this magnificent work. It is called "September", and shows the view of a small Russian town in autumn. The painting extends on the box's sides. The scene is painted in the shades of blue and brown. Aluminum paint highlights the clouds on the sky, the roofs and the foliage of the tree painted in the right part of the composition. The foliage of the rest trees is highlighted with gold paint. Mother-of-pearl shines through the sky, and through the house painted in the foreground on the left. The detail of the architecture is worked out with the utmost precision and is painted to the correct proportions. Excellent perspective is achieved through remarkable sketching and the overlay method of application. The artist managed splendidly reproduce the atmosphere of a cozy small Russian town. The scene is framed with the wide gold ribbon. The exterior of the box is light gray, and studded with a multitude of dark gray veins. The box's interior is red; the edges of the lid's red interior are decorated with bright gold metal paint. The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge above the composition and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the name of the artist, the village Fedoskino, the title and the year of 2006.
