Sergey Sergeevich Chistov

Born in 1946 in the village of Akhtimneevo in Moscow region. Now he resides in the village of Fedoskino in the picturesque surroundings of Moscow.

Sergey finished the Art School in 1964; the masters he was taught by are outstanding Fedoskino miniaturists N.F. Vetrov, P.S. Davydov, and S.V. Monashov. The artist's diploma work was the miniature "Year 1941". At present Sergey Sergeevich works at the Fedoskino Factory of Lacquered Miniature.

Chistov paints in oils in the traditions of Fedoskino art. His creative work was affected by the art of M.S. Chizhov. Sergey Sergeevich, as many painters, has personal technical methods. It isn't very hard to tell his pieces from others because of his original execution technique. Sergey believes that admirers of the fine arts will remember detailed paintings and graceful drawings of his compositions. The master considers work on a miniature to be done when he has accomplished all of its details.

Chistov was awarded to medals, diplomas, and letters. His art works are reserved in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Art, museums of Istra, Krasnoyarsk, and etc.
