Akimova-kolesnik Inna Vyacheslavovna (1962 - ...)  Click to play

Inna Vyacheslavovna Akimova is married to Sergey Konstantinovich Kolesnik, although she paints under her maiden name. Both are talented artist who love Palekh and would not want to trade it for anything else. Inna Vyacheslavovna graduated from the Palkeh Art School in the early 1990's during the first large lacquer box boom. While many artists were making money on creating cheap souvenirs she and her husband stuck to working hard on refining their skill which has really paid off. Now she and Sergey Konstantinovich paint, not together, pieces that find themselves in almost every corner of the world.

Akimova (Kolesnik) Inna Vyacheslavovna was born in 1962 in the town of Kaluga. Now she resides in the village of Palekh.

In 1989 the artist finished the Palekh Art School. Her teachers were Kolesnik S.K. and Lekomtsev B.A. The diploma work of Akimova I.V. was a casket “Vasilisa the Beautiful”.
At present Inna Vyacheslavovna works at home. She paints her compositions in the style Palekh lacquered miniature using tempera paints. Themes of her works are fairy-tales, genre scenes and folklore.
Works by Akimova I.V. are kept in private collections in Russia, Holland and the USA.
The artist thinks that lyricism is the most important element in her works. Beginning to paint a new composition she intends to realize all ideas that she imagines.
Inna Vyacheslavovna thinks that work on a box is finished when it is bought because it means that a box is appreciated by people.
The artist prefers to use in work calm tones. Quite often she applies in painting her personal artistic methods.
Works by such Palekh miniature painters as Kolesnik S.K. and Kozlova N.A had a great influence on the artist’s creative work.
Besides painting Inna Vyacheslavovna takes a great interest in music and works as a teacher in Music School.
Akimova I.V. wishes to all amateurs of lacquered miniature to buy more boxes to enlarge their collections.
