Elena Aldoshkina, well-known and talented Fedoskino artist created this beautiful box. Elena has elaborated her own style of painting; her unique boxes can be recognized by a beautiful palette filled with sky blue oils combined with gold metal paints; by adherence to depiction of scenes from peasant life and by distinctively painted attractive characters with large kind eyes. This artist is very popular in the world of Fedoskino lacquer art and we are very proud to present each of her creations. The box shows a young couple having a date. The scene is painted in the distinctive Aldoshkina's style. The palette includes various shades of blue oils, and the details are enhanced with brilliant gold paint. The sides of box are blue and accented with finely painted gold decoration. The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title (“Date”), and the year of 1999.
