Svetlana Alexandrovna Paramonova

Born in 1958 in the village of Palekh, where she currently resides.

Svetlana finished the Palekh Art School in 1979; her teachers were A.V. Gordeev, B.M. Nemtinov, A.B. Borunov, V.I. Golov, V.I. Astakhov, and Y.V. Zheganov.

The artist works in the style of Palekh lacquered miniature, using tempera art technique, gold, and lacquer. The subject matters of her pieces are fairy-tales, songs, and bylinas. In Svetlana's opinion the most important things in her works are good drawing and composition. All of her pieces are author works.

Starting a new box, the painter always wants to create something new, unusual, and to contribute her mite into development of Palekh art. The author considers a miniature to be finished when it seems to her she has revealed its theme and expressed her thoughts and feelings.

As all painters, Svetlana has her own signature, so it is easy to tell her artworks from others. Parmonova prefers juicy paints and cold colors.

She hopes admirers of her art will remember detailed painting, precise drawing, themes, colors, pants, and overall execution of her boxes.

In spare time the artist likes to read, to travel, to listen to the music, to sew, to grow flowers.

Svetlana wishes people who acquire her works for their private collections good luck, happiness, and she wants them to love the art of Palekh like she does!
