Yermolaeva Vera Stepanovna (1931 - ...)  Click to play

Vera Stepanovna Yermolaeva was born in 1931 in the village of Sobinka in Vladimir region. In 1949 Vera entered the Palekh Art School, where her teachers were prominent Palekh masters I.P. Bakurov and A.V. Kotukhin. Having finished her education in 1954 Yermolaeva was employed by the Palekh Art Workshops.

Many of her art works have been exhibitions' participants since 1964, and in 1966 Vera Stepanovna joined in the Artsts' Union. The themes the author prefers to depict are folklore and literature, "Daring Vasiliy", "The Tale of the Merchant Kalashnikov", "Shepherd Boy", "Let the Sun be Forever", "Ruslan and Ludmila".

Some of art pieces by the artist are preserved in the State Russian Museum, State Museum of Palekh Art, and Ivanovo Regional Art Museum.
